Before the Break Toolkit

Nov 18, 2025

As the year draws to a close, pressure, pace, and fatigue can quietly build, both at work and at home. The Before the Break Toolkit helps leaders and teams stay focused, connected and safe through this busy period, so everyone can finish the year well and enjoy the festive season.

Designed for quick, practical use in any industry, the toolkit includes weekly Leader Cards and Posters built around three simple themes:

  • Staying present and slowing down when the pace picks up

  • Checking in with workmates and supporting each other’s wellbeing

  • Refocusing attention on what matters most, at work and at home

These small prompts encourage helpful mindsets, safer decisions, and more intentional moments during a time when distractions and fatigue are more common.

The toolkit can be used in pre-starts, toolbox talks, team huddles or informal moments throughout the week. Each piece is designed to keep safety conversations light, meaningful, and easy to integrate into day-to-day work.

Give your team the opportunity to pause, reset and finish the year safely—before the break.

Meaningful improvements in safety come from small, everyday behaviours. If you’d like support embedding these behaviours year-round, or strengthening safety mindsets more broadly, we’d love to talk.
