At its core is a safety climate survey that captures people’s perceptions, attitudes and day-to-day experiences of safety at a point in time. This data is interpreted against Sentis’ extensive dataset, providing meaningful context and comparison.
The Positive Safety Benchmark is available in multiple tiers. Organisations can start with a focused climate survey to establish a baseline, or choose more in-depth options that combine survey data with expert-led qualitative methods, including a consultant-led onsite safety evaluation.
This allows organisations to choose the level of insight they need — from a quick pulse check through to a more comprehensive view — while remaining grounded in the same proven survey foundation.

Our safety climate survey measures 22+ dimensions across four key areas, giving you a structured, evidence-based view of what’s driving safety performance in your organisation.
Alongside the four core areas, the survey includes outcome measures, connecting what people perceive to what’s actually happening on the ground.
In addition to the core survey dimensions, organisations can select up to two optional modules to explore specific risk areas or priorities in more depth.
