Technical Help & Troubleshooting
Sentis Applied Minds is a web-based platform that runs entirely in your browser, so there’s no installation required. This article covers recommended browsers, known limitations on certain devices, and steps to resolve the most common issues.
Recommended Browsers
For the best experience, use one of the following browsers and keep it up to date:
- Google Chrome: Windows, Mac and Android (recommended)
- Microsoft Edge: Windows and Mac (recommended)
- Safari: Mac, iPhone and iPad (supported)
- Mozilla Firefox: Windows and Mac (supported)
Internet Explorer isn’t supported. If your organisation uses Internet Explorer, contact your IT team to request access to Chrome or Edge.
Mobile & Tablet
The platform is fully optimised for mobile and tablet use. Both portrait and landscape orientations are supported, and on smaller screens the layout adjusts automatically to suit your device.
On iPhone and iPad, Safari gives the most reliable experience. If the layout looks broken at any point, try rotating your device or refreshing the page.
Known Limitations
Fullscreen Safety Shares (Safari and iOS)
The Safety Share fullscreen button uses the browser’s native fullscreen API. On iPhone and iPad, Apple restricts this API in Safari, so the fullscreen button may not work as expected. The platform automatically falls back to an expanded view that fills the screen within the browser. This is normal behaviour, not an error.
Training videos (Vimeo)
Lesson videos are hosted on Vimeo. If a video doesn’t load, check whether your network blocks Vimeo, as some corporate firewalls restrict video streaming. Try switching between Wi-Fi and mobile data to test this. If Vimeo is blocked on your organisation’s network, ask your IT team to whitelist vimeo.com and the portal domain.
QR code (Team Pre-Start Rating)
The Team Pre-Start Rating QR code is scanned by team members using their mobile camera. Display it on a screen large enough to scan clearly. If people are having trouble scanning it, increase your screen brightness or show it on a larger screen such as a TV or projector.
Common Issues & Fixes
The page isn’t loading or appears blank
Press Ctrl + Shift + R (Windows) or Cmd + Shift + R (Mac) to force a hard refresh and clear cached files. If that doesn’t help, clear cookies and cached images for the past 24 hours in your browser settings, or open the platform in a private or incognito window. If the issue persists, try a different browser.
I’m being logged out unexpectedly
The platform uses your browser’s local storage to keep you signed in. This can be cleared if you’re in private or incognito mode (sessions end when the window closes), if you’ve recently cleared your browser data, or if strict privacy settings or extensions block storage. Use a standard browser window and make sure your browser isn’t set to clear data on exit.
My progress or settings have reset
Progress tied to your account, such as completed lessons and Knowledge Check results, is saved to your profile and available when you log back in from any device. Some preferences, such as your theme setting and Safety Share viewing history, are stored in your browser’s local storage, so they won’t carry over if you switch browsers, clear your browser data or log in on a different device.
Videos or images aren’t loading
Check that your internet connection is stable, and disable any browser extensions that block content, as ad blockers and privacy shields can interfere with embedded videos and images. On a corporate network, ask your IT team to whitelist vimeo.com and the portal domain.
The layout looks incorrect or content is cut off
Set your browser zoom to 100% by pressing Ctrl + 0 (Windows) or Cmd + 0 (Mac), then do a hard refresh. If you’re using an extension that changes page styles, such as a third-party dark mode extension, try disabling it, as the platform has its own dark mode toggle that may conflict.
