Being conscious of our emissions contribution is just one way we’re striving to build a more sustainable future.
Because of this, we’re proud to announce we have achieved carbon neutral certification against the Climate Active Carbon Neutral Standard for our Australian Business Operations in 2021-2022. We have committed to reducing our carbon footprint through operational changes including procuring carbon neutral or GreenPower electricity for our office in Brisbane, supporting flexible working arrangements, opting-in for carbon neutral flights where possible and promoting online delivery options to our clients to reduce travel. We’re on a mission to cut down our workbook pages by 75%, which means less paper and fewer emissions from transporting materials to our clients. Plus, we’re streamlining our ICT services and equipment management to be more efficient and eco-friendly.
We have also purchased 100% Australian Carbon Credit Units through the work being done on the Piccaninny Plains Carbon Abatement and the Wongalara Wildlife Sanctuary projects. By supporting these local projects, we’re continuing our mission and passion for protecting native flora and fauna (similarly to our investment in the Banyula Conservation Reserve) with benefits going directly to Australian communities and our environment.
Our commitment to achieving carbon neutrality is based on international best practice standards and GHG protocols, and it’s a journey we’re proud to be on. Our work at Banyula is ongoing and contributes significant positive impact to the environment.
